Got a bike? Live in Glasgow? Take part in Mauricio Kagel’s “A Breeze for 111 cyclists”

The University of Glasgow is seeking participants for a Bike Week performance of ‘Eine Brise (A Breeze) for 111 cyclists’ by Mauricio Kagel. This will be staged on Sunday 15th June.

Eine Brise (A Breeze) is an avant garde musical performance piece for 111 bicyclists written by Mauricio Kagel lasting one-and-a-half minutes organised by Music in the University. Participation is open to all: no singing or above-average cycling abilities are required!

Where:
In and around the University of Glasgow’s Gilmorehill Campus, off University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8QQ.

When:
Sunday 15 June
12 noon assemble at the Turning Circle opposite Visitor Centre for rehearsal
2 pm performance (twice round circular route)
Total time commitment is 12 noon – 2.20pm

Participants will ride their own bikes at a very slow speed (5mph) in a specific formation while performing a sequence of different musical sounds.Register for ticket number on Eventbrite.
