Geoff Findon 10, 30 or 50 Mile Ride

GEOFF FINDON BIKEATHON – SUNDAY 10th JUNE 2018

ALL RIDES START FROM LOUTH MERIDIAN LEISURE CENTRE, WOOD LANE, LOUTH.

• 9.00AM START: 50 MILE RIDE – The ride is for regular riders that are reasonably fit and can follow a route sheet that will be supplied at registration. There will be the opportunity of a cafe stop before riding back to the Leisure Centre.
• 10.00AM START: 30 MILE RIDE – The ride is suitable for occasional cyclists that are reasonably fit and can follow a route sheet that will be supplied at registration. There will be the opportunity of a cafe stop before riding back to the Leisure Centre.
• 11.00AM START: 10 MILE FAMILY RIDE – Riders of all abilities are welcome. The ride is led by a ride leader and is marshalled and signed over the whole route. At approximately 8 miles we are stopping at Rushmoor County Park for refreshments or a visit to see the animals (entry fee required). Riders can then be led or make their own way back to the Leisure Centre.

Notes about the ride: The terrain is flat and the ride will be to the East and North of Louth on quiet country roads, minimising the use of busy roads. The Courses have been Cycling UK risk assessed. Cycling UK rules and guidelines apply. It is the riders or guardian’s responsibility for their own actions on the public highway and the suitability and road-worthiness of their cycles.

This is not a race but a leisure ride. It is also recommended that riders carry a spare tube, puncture repair kit and tools and any refreshments that are required on route. The Organisers will provide an Emergency Telephone Number in case of difficulties or if you do not intend to finish.
