Christchurch Tweed Ride, Dorset
September 17 @ 2:00 pm
| £10Event Navigation
Dig out your best tweed, tartan & vintage and join us for the 1st Christchurch Tweed Ride on Saturday, 17th September.
The Ride begins at 12:30 pm. Group Photo at 12 noon! Registration opens from 10:00 am – giving you plenty of time to enjoy the Christchurch Family Fun Day and various stalls. Starting from Christchurch Quay, cycle through lovely Christchurch and Mudeford and enjoy the spirit of a by-gone era. Our 12 km (7 mi) journey will see us stop at Mudeford Quay for a Tea Break provided by the Christchurch Harbour Hotel, and then back to Christchurch Quay for a yummy mini Afternoon Tea from the Captain’s Club Hotel – all the while knowing that you are cycling for two worthwhile causes – The Bournemouth Hospital Charity and CODA Music.
During the cycle, Marshalls will ride along with you and direct traffic at intersections.
Please state whether you would like a veggie option for your Afternoon Tea. Unfortunately, due to the numbers involved, we are unable to provide a vegan or gluten free option this year.
Prizes will be presented for Best Dressed Bicycle, Best Dressed Woman, Man, & Child, and Best Dressed Moustache.
Tickets are £10 per adult (over 12 years), £8 children (under 12 years), £34 for Family of Four.
As we are stiff-upper lip British, the event will go ahead in case of a light drizzle of rain. If heavy rain does occur, the event will be postponed to another Saturday.
So what are you waiting ladies & gents? Let’s all go on a jolly cycle!
