An exploration of parts of the proposed Derwent Valley Cycleway between Duffield and Whatstandwell. The event will consist of rides between key parts of the route where there will be stops and short explanations of what is proposed. As the Derwent Valley Cycleway does not yet exist, the route will consist of a mixture of existing tracks, parts of the A6, local quieter roads, and a short (500m) section of footpath where we’ll have to push the bikes (and climb over 2 stiles).
Total distance of 15 miles which we would expect to take about 2 hours with stops for discussion. We’ll complete the ride by the Bridge Inn in Duffield where all are welcome to stop for a drink and chat.
